We went for a drive from The Leela Kempinsky to The Lalit Ashok and it was a smooth ride all through. We were 5 guys, nestled comfortably in the realms of the spacious car.
I will not dwell into all the specifics technical details of the car which can be picked from here. Instead, I will talk about specific things I felt during the drive.
Before I start harping about all that I liked about this, I must make a confession that I am not an auto-fanatic. Yet, I liked what I saw, and more importantly what I experienced. Renault Lodgy looks like a good cross between genres of SUV and family sedans. It looks masculine, strong and powerful. Yet not so imposing. Chiseled looks, chrome finished dashboard, adaptable seating, body coloured door handles and side mirrors, chrome-finished scuff plate - the list is endless to give that impressive look to the case.
Seating comfort is great. You could close your eyes and fall into a slumber (provided of course the road is good and driver is steady). And so I did.
From the inside, it is super spacious, you can remove the middle seat altogether to create HUGE space - to literally camp inside the car, should there ever be a need. We were so impressed by this feature that we did an impromptu skit on the fact that Lodgy probably has more space than a typical 1 BHK in Mumbai. See the video here -
